In the watch window some times three (or more) clicks are required to add a new watch.
1) Add a new watch variable, select it.
2) Click the last line, where it says "Click here to add a new watch" to select it.
3) Quickly follow the instructions (i.e. click there to add a new watch).
4) Nothing happens.
5) Wait a bit, get frustrated, double click.
6) Nothing happens.
7) Realize that a single click is required, so click just once.
8) Edit box to add new variable shows up!
This all seems to come from the fact that it is not possible to double-click to add a new watch, only single-click (since 4) only happens if 2) and 3) are done in quick succession).
Actually, once the "Click here to add a new watch" line is selected, just typing should allow you to add a new watch
And double-clicking should also be allowed to edit already created watches
+1 - it should just allow you to highlight an expression in the editor, right click and say 'add watch'. The expression evaluator available in the right click menu is more relevant as a panel than a popup.
FWIW, I added drag&drop of text from the text editor into the Watch pad as a way to add watches a while back...
