On Android 5.x devices, mainly on Samsung Galaxy S6, Nexus 6, and recently on Galaxy Note Edge (after update to 5.0.2 from 4.4.4) we experience debugger crashes in different strange places with NullReferenceException (e.g. at method open brace in our code, or inside DateTime default constructor).
Same code works fine without debugger attached. Seems like issue affects a lot of Samsung devices with Android 5.x, HTC One M7 with Android 4.4.4, Nexus 6 with Android 5.1.
Luckily it does not affect Nexus 5 on 4.4.x as well as on 5.x.
Issue easily reproduced on latest stable version Xamarin.VisualStudio_3.11.586.
I have tried to reproduce this issue and not able to reproduce it.
Could you please provide us sample project, IDE Log and Build Output? so that we can reproduce this issue at our end.
You can get IDE Log via (Help->Xamarin->Zip Xamarin Logs)
You can get Build Output via (View->Output)
With latest stable build issue is not reproducible anymore. Issue can be closed.
