Description Andreas 2015-06-03 01:52:56 UTC
1 - Create a normal page and ad some trace to the destructor method. (Debug.WriteLine("Destructing MyPage");)
2 - Wrap a normal page in a Navigation page and push it modal.
3 - Hit back-button (or pop modal).
4 - Do a GC.Collect();

The trace from the destructor will NOT be written to the debug output window.

However, if you DO NOT wrap the page in a navigation-page, the destructor will run just fine.

This only happens on WinPhone. Works fine on iOS and Android.

WP8 is deprecated (https://developer.xamarin.com/guides/xamarin-forms/getting-started/installation/#Windows_Phone_8_Silverlight) and as such this is being closed.
