[XVS.iOS 3.9] iPhone projects do not give the option to deploy to iPad simulators
This is a follow-up to Bug 26545. When Bug 26545 was fixed, the decision was made that deploying to _physical_ iPad devices was the primary concern. Accordingly, the fix for Bug 26545 enabled deployments to _physical_ iPad devices.
This follow-up bug is aimed at asking specifically whether iPad _simulators_ should also be displayed in the deployment drop-down menu for iPhone app projects in Visual Studio. The main argument _in favor_ of showing them would be to match the behavior of Xamarin Studio on Mac.
If nothing else, this bug can serve as one form of documentation to state that deploying iPhone-only apps to iPad simulators is not currently possible in XamarinVS.
## Regression status: a "regression" (or an intentional change) introduced by XVS 3.9
(Note: the Xcode 6.3 simulators cannot be queried by older versions of XVS, so for simplicity I tested with an old backup copy of Xcode 5.1 across all 3 versions.)
Windows: XamarinVS 3.11.584.0 (1a920cd)
Build host: Xamarin.iOS 18.104.22.168 (e6ebd18)
Windows: XamarinVS 22.214.171.124 (d6a2cae)
Build host: Xamarin.iOS 126.96.36.199 (dfb682f)
Windows: XamarinVS 188.8.131.52 (10cfd17)
Build host: Xamarin.iOS 184.108.40.206 (840a925)
## Steps to reproduce
1. Open the attached test case. (This is simply the "Visual C# -> iOS -> iPhone -> Single View App (iPhone)" template from XVS 3.11.584 with one tiny adjustment to set the deployment target to iOS 7.0.)
2. Under the drop-down menu for the green arrow "play button" used to start debugging, attempt to select an iPad simulator.
## Actual results
The drop-down menu for the deployment target does _not_ display the installed iPad simulators from the Mac build host.
## "Expected" results
In Xamarin Studio on Mac, and on XamarinVS 3.8 and earlier, the drop-down menu for the deployment target _does_ display the installed iPad simulators from the Mac build host.
