3 Screenshots of the spinner in Android 4.0.3 and 5.0.1
On Android 5.0.1 the items in the Picker control popup are unreadable because they are white on a lightgrey background.
My guess is that it has to do with the default black textcolor you have on android Jellybean for popups. So there was no reason to set the textcolor before. But because the popup style of KitKat is used on top of a Lollipop popup which is darkgrey by default, it has a white textcolor.
My suggestion would be to style the textcolor to black in the popup items. Because I can't do this in a custom renderer in Xamarin Forms and I can't overwrite the style in the Android styles xml.
I wasn't able to reproduce this, Could you please attach a small project showcasing this issue?
Bug can be closed. Settings the android:textColorPrimary to white in a style with the android:Theme.Material.Light as parent caused the alertdialogs to be white with a white background. Overriding the android:alertDialogTheme to a style which has the Theme.Material.Dialog as parent resolved the issue.
