Description Jackson Harper 2012-01-22 22:50:20 UTC
IMO:

The xcode sync feature should be a one way sync, updating changed xibs but not pulling in new xibs.

The reason I noticed this is because I wanted to make iPad versions of a few of my xibs. xcode has a feature that does this, so I used it in the obj/ directory and copied the couple of xibs I wanted into my MD project directory and added them to the project. The problem is MD (without any warning) added all of the new ipad xibs to the project.

To do this:
 - open a xib from MD
 - click on the project
 - two finger click the project name under targets
 - select duplicate
 - choose Duplicate and Transition to iPad

A new directory is created Resources-iPad/ and that entire directory will be imported into the MD project.

This is kind of a feature... Miguel wanted it so that a user could design his entire app in Xcode and MD would sync everything back (new storyboards, xibs, and new classes defined in .h files)

Ah yeah, that makes sense. Feel free to close.

Maybe the actual bug is, MD/MT needs that "create iPad xib" feature.
