Description rjcollingham 2015-05-14 07:04:44 UTC
Showing local images works fine in WebView, but I can't get a local video to play. The same video works when using a remote URL. I have the files set as Content, I have also copied them to isolated storage, I also tried copying the video to Shared/Media.

public App ()
{
            WebView wv = new WebView();
            wv.HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.FillAndExpand;
            wv.VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.FillAndExpand;
            HtmlWebViewSource wvs = new HtmlWebViewSource();
            wvs.Html = "<html><body><h1>hello world</h1><video width='50%' poster='play.jpg' controls><source src='small.mp4' type='video/mp4'></video></body></html>";
            // works with video source of http://techslides.com/demos/sample-videos/small.mp4
            wv.Source = wvs;
	    MainPage = new ContentPage {
				Content = new StackLayout {
					Children = {
                                          wv
					}
				}
			};

Thanks
Russell

Still exists using latest XF 1.5.0

Does this exist on other platforms or just Windows Phone? I think I may also have this issue on Android

This is occurring on Windows Phone 8.1.
