Description Matthew Regul 2015-04-24 16:52:18 UTC
**Overview:**

After making a brand new iOS - Universal - Single View App (iOS) project from within Visual Studio 2013, and changing the Status Bar option “Hide during application launch”, the app will stop at the Splash screen and never move on.

**Steps to Reproduce:**

Requirements:
iOS
Parallels VM
- Windows 8.1
- Visual Studio 2013
Xamarin.iOS Build Host Connected

Reproducing Bug:
Launch VS
File >> New >> Project
Visual C# >> iOS >> Universal >> Single View App (iOS)
Select Device “iPhone 5s iOS 8.3”
 - I ran the test using emulated iPhone 5, 5s, and 6s, all with same results
Run App
Run App
Splash Screen Loads, then Main screen
(should have worked as expected)
Close the app

Edit Project Properties
In the "iOS Application" tab, locate the "Status Bar" section
Check/Enable “Hide during application launch”
Save settings
Run App
Splash Screen Loads, but the splash never goes away

For additional verification, change the default Splash background image from black to another color (yellow?) and repeat test

**Actual Results:**

After checking the Status Bar “Hide during application launch”, upon running the app the splash screen loads but the app never progresses

**Expected Results:**

Upon running the app we’d expect the splash screen to load and then continue on to the main screen

**Build Date & Platform:**

On Mac:

Build Host 3.9.0.547
