I'm a little confused regarding 4.0.
Several sources, e.g. http://developers.slashdot.org/story/15/04/05/045259/mono-4-released-first-version-to-adopt-microsoft-code are claiming that 4.0 is released, and indeed this page would seem to suggest so http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/releases/4.0.0/
I also see this tag in GitHub https://github.com/mono/mono/releases/tag/mono-126.96.36.199 and also a later one with an 'alpha' suffix https://github.com/mono/mono/releases/tag/mono-4.0.0_alpha1
Yet there is no mention of 4.0 at http://www.mono-project.com/download/ nor at http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/releases/
What is the current status? Is 4.0 in alpha as indicated by the latest GitHub tag?
If it is not yet released, then perhaps http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/releases/4.0.0/ should be altered to display the current status.
Community mono has been released.
Xamarin published it as an alpha build until our internal QA process find it to be ready.
