Description Mohammed El-Serougi 2015-04-10 17:42:04 UTC
It seems you can't disable scrolling on a ScrollView when using the Android APIs through a custom renderer. The ScrollView contains a StackLayout and is scrolling fine, completely ignoring the code below:

public class CustomScrollViewRenderer : ScrollViewRenderer
    {
        public override bool OnTouchEvent (MotionEvent e)
        {
            //return base.OnTouchEvent (e);
            return false;
        }

        public override bool OnInterceptTouchEvent (MotionEvent ev)
        {
            //return base.OnInterceptTouchEvent (ev);
            return false;
        }
    }

@Mohammed: Is ScrollViewRenderer a Xamarin.Forms type?

Could you please attach a complete sample and repro instructions?

Test project.

Yes, ScrollView is Xamarin Forms own, custom rendered to provide an option for disabling scrolling. You only need to run it on an Android emulator and you'll see the issue.

I don't think this is an issue anymore. If I return true from OnInterceptTouchEvent then scrolling is disabled.
