Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
Version 12.0.31101.00 Update 4
Microsoft .NET Framework
After discussing with Jose, it seems device builds fail consistently with the libc DllNotFound error, with all configurations.
I couldn't build a watchkit app or a singleview with AppStore|config as well. I am updating this bug with the build logs from building a watchkit app and a universal single view app.
Build Log WatchKitApp: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/baefbbf45c2a4f2a1450
Build Log SingleViewApp: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/0a95856fbec84f865d48
I verified with a new mac build host 220.127.116.1190,
and the build error seems to be resolved.
I could build a single view app successfully for device config and also could
deploy on device.
Build Log: https://gist.github.com/GouriKumari/9eaf262cfaf7c68a9c7e
With WatchKitApp : I could build the app successfully for Debug|iPhone config.
Build fails for WatchKitApp in CreateIPA step for AppStore|Config.
Build Log for Debug|iPhone:
Build Log for AppStore|Config:
This issue is fixed since the build error with libc DLL not found error is
resolved. However, WatchKit Projects do not build successfully for AppStore
config. I will open a bug for this for tracking purpose.
Version: 18.104.22.168 (Business Edition)
Hash: 4d68c9a + mac build host 22.214.171.12490
I have checked this Issue with latest C5 builds and I am still getting build error when build the main project either of Template or WatchKitCatalog on iPhone|Debug. This is the build output for the same: https://gist.github.com/saurabh360/7ee540e633031b70eee5

X.iOS on Build host 184.108.40.206
The BuildHost including the fix is 220.127.116.110.
That said, the Xamarin.iOS cycle 5 build which is going to bundle that BuildHost hasn't build yet.
The bundling update was done on commit https://github.com/xamarin/maccore/commit/f2da1d2b4bfbe29ec515157f0acbf43653a8811c
That being said, you can verify the fix manually installing that BuildHost (18.104.22.1680) on top of X.iOS 22.214.171.124, as that's the only difference between 126.96.36.199 and the queued build (https://wrench.internalx.com/Wrench/ViewLane.aspx?lane_id=1503&host_id=163&revision_id=435928).
I can confirm 188.8.131.520 is already on dropbox (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/n3cnpj3m1iup2qd/AAAcHoNaXpouTmPN6Dn_SxH8a/Cycle%205/XVS3.11/xamarin-ios-build-host-184.108.40.2060_8e920f102e6cf807efa2101408cd403d33df8407.pkg?dl=0).
*** Bug 28925 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
We're waiting for a new X.iOS C5 build (the revision including the bump failed on the Upload to storage step). Rolf fixed the script and we should be getting a new build with the fix soon.
I have checked this issue using cycle 5 builds i.e. XVS 3.11.409 + X.iOS 220.127.116.11 and observed that this issue is working fine now i.e. we are able to build watchkitcatalog sample.
Hence closing this issue.
An update to the comment 7, I have checked it with Device and simulator.
