Description supreet 2015-03-24 05:32:39 UTC
On Xamarin Forms 1.4.1 I have the following setup

App.xaml file with an implicit button style

<Application.Resources>
    <ResourceDictionary>
      <Style TargetType="Button" >
        <Setter Property="TextColor" Value="White" />
        <Setter Property="BorderRadius" Value="4" />
        <Setter Property="BackgroundColor" Value="#C21425" />
        <Setter Property="WidthRequest" Value="200" />
        <Setter Property="BorderColor" Value="#C21425" />
        <Setter Property="HeightRequest" Value="50"/>
      </Style>
    </ResourceDictionary>
  </Application.Resources>

This style is respected across the app on all button controls in an ios app.

Now we have a page that we are rendering completely in Ios natively & when done we navigate back to the next page in forms app.

This is similar to your example
https://github.com/xamarin/xamarin-forms-samples/tree/master/Native2Forms

On this forms page the global Implicit button styles are not respected.
Is this a bug or an expected behavior?

Thanks
ST

I have checked this with given sample code in bug description but I am not getting behavior as mentioned in the bug description.
Please check the attached sample and let me know if I have missed anything.

Could you please provide us a small sample test case so that we can reproduce it at our end.

Sample Updated

Hi Parmendra,
Your sample project does not have the native renderer that I discussed about in my original comment.
Attached you will find an updated project.
It now has 4 pages

App.Xaml-> Has the implicit button style
Page 1 -> in Forms
Page 2 -> In forms
Page 3 -> In forms, rendered natively on IOS. Its click event is also handlled natively in IOS & when button on this page is clicked we navigate the app to page 4 (from IOS renderer)

Page 4 -> In forms.. Notice how it does not respect yh
