I'm not being able to repro this. I see View Code and View Designer in the menu, and both work as you describe (which is what's expected)

As we've introduced several improvements around the Android designer/source logic, I'll mark the bug as resolved fixed.
Please feel free to reopen it if you can still reproduce the issue with current bits.
