RESOLVED FIXED

Description Anubhav Ranjan 2015-02-16 22:09:32 UTC
One of our Customer is facing issue with Build Host whenever Network Changes.

### Description:

Hi!

I have from time to time trouble to connect to my Xamarin Build Host from my Parallel Desktop VM.

I think it happens after a network change or maybe an upgrade of Xamarin. Not sure.

Diagnostics from Visual Studio can ping Mac host but not connect to port 5000.

Starting a terminal on my Mac running "telnet 10.211.55.2 5000” will trigger a dialog “Do you want the application “mtbserver” to accept incoming network connections?” (see screenshot)

After answering Allow it is possible to connect from Visual Studio.

My issue here, that probably several other struggles with, is that the firewall blocks incoming traffic and Xamarin Build Host does not trigger this dialog or setup the firewall to allow incoming requests. It is annoying to have to do this.

Do you have a Bug Report open for this issue? If not, please create one.

Fixed by the new Xamarin Mac Agent implementation.
