I have tried to reproduce this issue but not able to reproduce. I have followed
below steps.

1. Create a Classic->Singleview iOS application in XS.
2. Run the application on device and simulator with X.iOS 8.4.0.16(Business
Edition)
 it is working fine.
3. Update X.iOS to 8.6.0.51(Business Edition).
4. Run the application on device and simulator and observed that its working
fine.
5. Again update X.iOS to 8.6.1.20(Business Edition)
6. Run the application on device and simulator its also working fine.

Could you please provide us a sample project, Environment info, Ide log,iOS
device logs? So we can reproduce this issue at our end.

You can get Environment info via Xamarin Studio > About Xamarin Studio > Show
Details > Copy information, Ide log via Help > Open Log Directory > Ide log and
iOS device log via View > Pads > iOS Device log.

Thanks!
