It would be a good workflow to have all build functionality in Visual Studio except archiving. Currently I have to make my final release build for the App Store on Mac Xamari Studio. I also wonder how to debug 64bit Builds with Visual Studio?

This is currently supported on the Advanced tab for the iOS Build page on the iOS Project Properties.
