I had added a file to the solution "brilliantly" named icon.png. (I then added it to info.plist and successfully deployed to my iPhone; in short there was nothing wrong.) Given the need for icons of different sizes, I renamed it to "icon-57x57.png". (Again updated info.plist and successfully deployed the app.) When I tried to check in, i.e., Commit, the solution, MD will not let me. Instead I get a message that says "'.../icon.png' is scheduled for addition, but is missing. Commit failed ..."
The stack trace points to .../SvnCient.cs:968. But the problem must be wherever the file name is stored!
* Add a dummy file called icon.png to the appropriate folder in the solution, even if it is not explicitly referenced anywhere in the solution.
This applies for any file actually. I run into this problem very frequently and it's very annoying. Steps to reproduce:
1 - Add a new file to the project (but don't commit)
2 - Rename the file newly added file
3 - Try to commit
I just checked this behaviour with both Git and Svn and this sequence works fine now. If it is not fixed with the latest release of MonoDevelop it should be fixed in the next one.
