I'm trying to detect when an attempt to connect to a peripheral fails. I've hooked up the CBCentralManager.FailedToConnectPeripheral event, but have not seen this event raised when zero bluetooth devices are present.
From Apple's documentation :
"This method is invoked when a connection initiated via the connectPeripheral:options: [ConnectPeripheral] method fails to complete. Because connection attempts do not time out, a failed connection usually indicates a transient issue, in which case you may attempt to connect to the peripheral again."
This means that FailedToConnectPeripheral is not raised when there are zero bluetooth devices present, but when a connection attempt to a device failed.
Sorry Ralph, I wrote that bug description late last night. I have discovered a device using ScanForPeripheral and once discovered, I power the device off and then from the app call ConnectPeripheral. It is at this point I expect the event to be raised, but I don't seem to get it.
We're a direct binding of the ObjC API, so there's not much we can do if iOS doesn't raise the event.
Yeah I figured. Was hoping that maybe that delegate method wasn't hooked up or the event wasn't getting raised from the wrapper for some reason.
