Description Jared Kells 2015-01-15 00:29:46 UTC
Debugging an Android app has stopped preserving the application data between deployments. The data is wiped every time.

"Preserve application data/cache on device between deploys" is checked under Android Options.
"Use Fast Deployment" (debug mode only) is checked in project settings.

I am running Xamarin Android 4.20 in VS2013 and the device is a Nexus 5.

This looks android related. Moving to Android for review.

I have the same problem with VS2015 and latest XF alpha bits.

I am marking this issue as NEEDINFO until we can get a reliable reproduction project, or reproduction steps that can help us CONFIRM this issue. For example, what type of data is not being preserved between deployments? Is this referring to files within the application's data/data/{package_name} folder?

Please feel free to add anyway to reproduce this to the bug report so I can come back and CONFIRM it.

This was fixed at some point in the last few years, it doesn't happen anymore.
