RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 23210

Description Joost van Schaik 2015-01-14 04:17:53 UTC
Error in Error list:

Unexpected error - Please file a bug report at http://bugzilla.xamarin.com. Reason: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load assembly 'App4, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'. Perhaps it doesn't exist in the Mono for Android profile?	App4.Droid

The solution is pretty simple - select configuration manager, iPhoneSimulator and then check the PCL lib at build. I presume an error in the template project

I have tried to reproduce this issue and not able to reproduce. I created Xamarin.Forms PCL project and build it and observed that It build successfully without any error.

I should have been more clear.

Have you tried deploying to iOS using iPhoneSimulator? I get an error the PCL cannot be loaded

What version of Visual Studio are you using? Sounds like 2010?

I will mark this as a duplicate of an older bug about this same "Could not load assembly" _warning_.

Note that this message can also appear as an _error_. I have filed a separate bug about improving the wording of the _error_ in Bug 40782.
