messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
Right now it's not possible to debug code that the source is not in the same place as it was built.
This makes it very cumbersome to debug the installed mono BCL as the source paths are somewhere in /tmp due to how our CI works.
The same goes for doing debugging a customer binary with only parts of the source code available.
This feature would enable us to effectively start shipping mono's BCL source. The same for the product teams as they would be able to do it without doing in place builds or using mdbrebase.
The solution other IDEs adopt is to have alternative search paths that are used when the file in the debug info
is not found.
