it would be nice if I could raise/lower the z-order one level instead of the current implementation that either brings the child to the rear or the front.

In my opinion,
       RaiseChild -> change the child order to bring the view one step closer to the top
       LowerChild -> change the child order to bring the view one step closer to the bottom
       ChildToFront -> change the child order to put the child on the absolute top
       ChildToRear -> change the child order to put the child on the absolute bottom
