your current version information, steps to reproduce, and relevant error
messages or log files if you are hitting an issue that looks similar to
this resolved bug and you do not yet see a matching new report.
1) When opening a solution in Visual Studio, the info.plist file is cleared from the existing xsassets links (the one put using Xamarin Studio Mac). And nothing is migrated into the new "Image assets" property page.
2) Using the new "Image assets" property page, add a new Icon catalog, a new Splash screen catalog, and try to add assets for all iphone/ios7+ devices only (uncheck all ipad / ios 6 and less): you won't be able to uncheck all ipads: checkboxes simply won't uncheck. And you won't be able to add all images. Some "image buttons" just ignore the image you selected.
3) when using normal cxassets files, if 2 assets references the same image file, one of them will be missing in the final compilation. A workaround is to duplicate the image. It is especially true for the @3x icon ios8 and @2x search icon ios8 which have the same sizes.
The 3 issues should be fixed in the Alpha channel (v4.1), could you please try using that version and let us know if you are still facing those?
