Samples demonstrating the problem.
Packaging (in VS menu Build->Package) fails when building Release configuration with Linker set to SDK and User Assemblies.
Produced error is: System.Exception: library.MyViewGroup is not abstract and does not override abstract method onLayout(boolean, int, int, int, int) in android.view.ViewGroup
How to reproduce:
1. Open attached sample in VS (open MissingOnLayout solution).
2. Set configuration to Release (if not set)
3. Choose menu Build->Package MissingOnLayout for Android (.apk)
4. Observer fail.
Which mono for Android version is this? I'm unable to reproduce a build error with 4.0 or 4.0.1.
Tested with 4.0.1, Windows version.
I'm getting this error when I set Linking to Sdk and User Assemblies. Other options works.
(Aside: It helps when I try to do a Release build, as the Debug build doesn't do any linking...)
I'm able to reproduce on 4.0.3.
As a workaround, linking with SdkOnly allows the project to generate a package.
This seems to be fixed for 4.2, likely due to the other linking fixes I did.
