---Overview---
From this desk case:
https://xamarin.desk.com/agent/case/105089

Customer reports that they are unable to build & deploy their app in Visual Studio, but it works in Xamarin Studio (Mac). On opening the project in Visual Studio, the following warnings are thrown:

>Warning	1	The project 'SlickRemindersUtilities' cannot be referenced. The referenced project is targeted to a different framework family (MonoTouch)	SlickRemindersClient
>Warning	2	The referenced component 'monotouch' could not be found. SlickRemindersClient
>Warning	3	The project 'SlickRemindersControls' cannot be referenced. The referenced project is targeted to a different framework family (MonoTouch)	SlickRemindersClient

And the build fails due to the broken references.

---Steps to reproduce---
1. Open sample project in Visual Studio
2. Warnings are thrown, and when attempting to debug the app in the simulator it will fail due to errors related to the reference warnings.

The same app works correctly in Xamarin Studio (Mac)

---Additional Notes---
Will add the sample to repo shortly, as it is from a customer's app and will attach as a private comment.

Also, I repoed the issue in Xamarin 3.8.150.0, but Version 3.8 isn't selectable in bugzilla. I've filed a separate bug report for this issue here: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=24866
