The "Empty Xamarin.Mac Project" has no source files, thus there will be no executable to execute (i.e. the error message is correct).

My suggestion would be to modify the template to have at least a Main.cs.

I've modified the error message to not request that the user downloads Mono for this scenario.

We have about 5 different bugs about the empty project failing to launch alright, so i'm going to close this since Rolf fixed the unique aspect of the bug.
