---Overview:---
From this desk case:
https://xamarin.desk.com/agent/case/105460

Customer reported an issue where map isn't displaying on their iOS 7.1 test device; but is in the 8.1 emulator. When I tested the app on the 7.1 emulator, it crashes as soon as it is run, though it worked in the 8.1 emulator as expected.

This should no longer happen with the latest Xamarin installed. (though you might have crashing with iOS 8.1.2 and XAML due to other reasons).
