Jean Jacobsen https://xamarin.desk.com/agent/case/102987 reports that Bitdefender marks mandroid.exe as infected

Could you please provide us the test steps/sample to repro the issue as we don't have access to desk.
Comment 2 Ram Chandra 2014-11-24 14:37:55 UTC
I have tried to reproduce this issue but I am unable to reproduce this behavior.

Steps I followed:

1. I have downloaded "Bitdefender Windows 8 Security" antivirus from "http://www.bitdefender.com/Downloads/"

2. Scan the "Android" directory which contains the "manroid.exe" file (C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Xamarin\Android)

I have scanned the android directory with "Bitdefender" antivirus and observed that it doesn't mark the "mandroid.exe as infected" at our end.

Screencast: http://screencast.com/t/ROgMt5YdozA

Could you please provide the logs of "bitdefender" antivirus and Xamarin for VS build information? So that we can reproduce this behavior at our end.

You can get Bitdefender antivirus logs from here:

C:\Users\{user-name}\AppData\Roaming\Bitdefender\Desktop\profiles\Logs\(file with latest timestamp)

You can get Xamarin.VS version from here:

Visual studio => Help => About Microsoft Visual Studio =>Copy Info
