On running "SceneKitViewer" mac sample, it gives build error:

Error CS0121: The call is ambiguous between the following methods or properties: `MonoMac.SceneKit.SCNScene.FromUrl(MonoMac.Foundation.NSUrl, MonoMac.Foundation.NSDictionary, out MonoMac.Foundation.NSError)' and `MonoMac.SceneKit.SCNScene.FromUrl(MonoMac.Foundation.NSUrl, MonoMac.SceneKit.SCNSceneLoadingOptions, out MonoMac.Foundation.NSError)' (CS0121) (SceneKitViewer)

Comment 2 Chris Hamons 2014-11-18 16:18:12 UTC
Appears to be fixed in master. I'd like to get this cherry picked in, but not worth holding up alpha release.
Comment 3 Chris Hamons 2014-11-18 16:18:30 UTC
Whoops, wrong bug. Ignore ^.
Comment 4 Chris Hamons 2014-11-18 17:10:53 UTC
Yep, these two overloads:

		[Static]
		[Export ("sceneWithURL:options:error:")]
		[EditorBrowsable (EditorBrowsableState.Advanced)]
		SCNScene FromUrl (NSUrl url, [NullAllowed] NSDictionary options, out NSError error);

		[Static]
		[Wrap ("FromUrl (url, options == null ? null : options.Dictionary, out error)")]
		SCNScene FromUrl (NSUrl url, [NullAllowed] SCNSceneLoadingOptions options, out NSError error);

are ambiguous with:

		Scene = SCNScene.FromUrl (new NSUrl ("file://" + path), null, out error);

Miguel uncommented the line in question, so i've got a question out to him. If not, I'm guessing we either:

1) Allow this "API break". It does make passing in null kinda suck.
2) Rename the FromUrl w/ a dictionary.
3) Something I'm not thinking of.
Comment 5 Chris Hamons 2014-11-18 17:11:31 UTC
This however doesn't need to hold up the alpha.
Comment 6 Chris Hamons 2014-12-05 16:42:55 UTC
We need to do something here for 1.12.
Comment 7 Chris Hamons 2014-12-15 16:28:39 UTC
This appears to be fixed as of the latest mac-samples via a cast. Talking to Sebastien, we can't do better than a cast really.

I observed that , Now user is able to build and run the mac sample[classic API] "SceneKitViewer", successfully without any build error. Here is the screencast for the same: http://www.screencast.com/t/QucEbvz9q

Hence closing this issue.
