RESOLVED FIXED

Description Barry Sohl 2014-11-11 00:23:49 UTC
myView.RotateTo(180, 500, Easing.CubicInOut) works fine on iOS. However, on Android it rotates around the top-left corner of the view rather than around the center. This causes the object to move rather than rotating in place. 100% reproducible on Android 4.4.2.
Comment 1 Ram Chandra 2014-11-11 12:58:34 UTC
I have checked this issue but I am unable to reproduce this issue.

I have observed that "button.RotateTo(180, 500, Easing.CubicInOut);" is working fine on android. When I use the "button.RotateTo(180, 500, Easing.CubicInOut);" to rotate the button, I observed that button rotates around the center not around the top-left corner (please refer to the screencast).

I have checked the same for device and emulator and getting same result.

Could you please provide sample application and build information? So that we can reproduce this issue at our end.

You can get build information from here:

Comment 2 Barry Sohl 2014-11-11 19:38:07 UTC
Looks like it depends on the Xamarin.Forms version.

If I use an older version (whatever the default is when creating a new solution), it works!

If I update to 1.2.3.6257 (on the Beta channel) it does not work. Same exact code in both cases.

See attached code.

Thanks!

Broken RotateTo Code

RotateTo works correctly in older Xamarin.Forms build but is broken in 1.2.3.6257.
Comment 4 Barry Sohl 2014-11-12 08:17:42 UTC
Looks like it's still broken on the latest beta version that just released last night.
Comment 5 Ram Chandra 2014-11-12 13:43:59 UTC
@Barry : Thank you for providing the requested information.

With help of Comment 3, I am able to reproduce the issue.

I have checked this behavior and observed that this issue does not exist with Xamarin.Forms 1.0.6186 but when I update the forms to Xamarin.Forms: 1.2.3.6257, I am able to reproduce this behavior.
