RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 24193

Description Rob DeRosa 2014-11-06 14:03:42 UTC

jar to reproduce the issue outlined

Customer is experiencing an error when attempting to bind to an interface:

"Error produced: Error 360 The type 'byte[]' cannot be used as type parameter 'TResult' in the generic type or method 'Java.Interop.JavaObjectExtensions.JavaCast(Android.Runtime.IJavaObject)'. There is no implicit reference conversion from 'byte[]' to 'Android.Runtime.IJavaObject'."

Customer is unable to send over original jar due to NDA but has supplied another jar/interface that illustrates the issue (see attached)

Initial recommendation was to remove the interface by adding a remove-node line into the manfiest.xml but interface is needed.

Bindings team confirmed this was likely a bug.
