Created attachment 8454 [details]
Setting the Icon property of a ToolbarItem on a ContentPage causes the page not to render (blank white screen) on iOS 7. It works fine on iOS 8.
**Steps to Reproduce:**
1. Run the attached sample on an iOS 7.1 simulator.
The screen is blank.
Empty list view (separators visible) and the refreshButton.png icon should be visible in the navigation bar.
**Build Date & Platform:**
Comment out line 14 of App.cs to see the page render fine on iOS 8 and 7.
Specifying the icon with "refreshButton.png" instead of "refreshButton" fixes the issue.
I have checked this issue and able to reproduce this. To reproduce this issue I have followed the steps and instruction provided in bug description.
Steps I followed:
1. Open attached sample application in XS
2. Run it on an iOS 8 simulator
3. Observed that Empty list view and the refreshButton.png icon is visible in the navigation bar.
4. Run it on iOS 7.1 Simulator
5. Observe that the screen is blank.
6. Comment out line no 14 in App.cs
7. Again Run it on iOS 7.1 Simulator and observe that the page render fine.

I am testing in iOS 6.1, 7.1, 8.0. I am also faced similar issue in both 6.1 & 7.1, then I added .png in all toolbar items as suggested here and page rendered without any problem. Initially while seeing blank screen, I was confused and this thread saved my time.
It looks like this issue is resolved. I am marking as RESOLVED ANSWERED.
