Description Rafael Belmonte 2011-12-06 03:16:33 UTC
Description of Problem:

I'd like to use MonoDevelop to teach .NET Windows Forms applications in my school, for it I need a template to can easily create a Windows Forms Application solution with C# and VB.NET.
Windows Forms applications are now cross-plattform and compatible with libmono-winforms, then why not having it available for those developers who want to use them?
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a new solution.
2. Look at the solution templates available for C# and VB.NET.
3. Look for a Windows Forms Application template.
4. You won't find it.

Actual Results:
There isn't template for making a Windows Forms Application.

Expected Results:
There should be a Windows Forms Application template for C# and VB.NET languages.

How often does this happen?
Always.

The reason to not have templates is that we do not really have a GUI designer for it, and a large part of designing Winforms UI is to use the designer.

We strongly recommend that users pick Gtk# instead.
