I have checked this issue and able to reproduce it with the help of bug description.

I am getting same  behaviour  as mentioned in bug description.

This seems to be something with how the toolbar is configured in Xcode's xib designer.

If I create the toolbar in code in TableWithToolbarViewController.cs:

				//bottomToolbar = bottomToolbarBase;
				bottomToolbar = new UIToolbar ();
				Add (bottomToolbar);

then it works fine.
