Description Mark Rainwater 2014-09-30 07:36:06 UTC
I am using a MasterDetailPage and when I select the first item in my master list (the default selection) I use a TabbedPage. as the detail. When I hit the upper left menu button to slide in the master page it works just fine in ios where the master page covers the entire screen minus a small portion on the right. However when I run the same code in android the master page slides in under the tabs meaning while the master page is up I can still click on tabs and click on other action buttons in the top right. This seems like a bug to me.

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce it.

I tried following steps to reproduce it.
1.Create a Xamarin forms application.
2.Did code for getting output as mention in bug description.
3.Run the application.

I have observed that When user go to master page then the tab bar buttons also get display on master page. When user is on master page and click on tab buttons then tab button is getting clicked.

This is how the platform is designed to work when using a MasterDetailPage which maps to an Android DrawerLayout.

You may be able to workaround this now with the new FormsAppCompatActivity for Material Design. https://blog.xamarin.com/material-design-for-your-xamarin-forms-android-apps/
