RESOLVED FIXED

Description Martin Krkoska 2014-09-29 07:32:46 UTC
Try this in (1.2.3-pre4). Alert is never shown - iOS, WP8

public class App
    {
        public static Page GetMainPage ()
        {
            ContentPage cp = new ContentPage {
                Content = new Button {
                    Text = "Hello, Forms!",
                    VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand,
                    HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand,

                }
            };
            ((Button)cp.Content).Command = new Command (async () => {
                string result = await cp.DisplayActionSheet("Title","Cancel","Destruction","Option 1","Option 2");
                await cp.DisplayAlert("Title",result,"Accept","Cancel");
            });
            return cp;
        }
}

I have checked this issue but I am unable to reproduce this issue.

Steps I followed:

1. Create Blank App( Xamarin.Forms Portable).
2. Add the following code in GetMainPage().

 ContentPage cp = new ContentPage {
                Content = new Button {
                    Text = "Hello, Forms!",
                    VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand,
                    HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.CenterAndExpand,

                }
            };
            ((Button)cp.Content).Command = new Command (async () => {
                string result = await
cp.DisplayActionSheet("Title","Cancel","Destruction","Option 1","Option 2");
                await cp.DisplayAlert("Title",result,"Accept","Cancel");
            });
            return cp;

3. Build and deploy the project

When I deploy the sample project on iOS8 simulator and tab the "Hello, Forms!" text, I am getting the both action sheet and alert.

Could you please provide the test sample and build information? So that we can reproduce this issue at our end also please let me know if I am missing something?

I can confirm this happens on WP8 and 8.1 devices. On emulator haven't (yet) occurred. And on device the bug happens occasionally (~30% chance).

Thank you for taking the time to submit this report. After reviewing the description of this bug, we no longer believe it affects the current version of Xamarin.Forms. If you are still experiencing the issue after updating your packages, please reopen this report with an attached reproduction.
