Listview in iOS does not respect settled BackgroundColor, while it works in WP and Android.
In iOS the BackgroundColor is settled to the "Phantom Rows" see also Bug 22926 but NOT to the real rows.

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce it.
I tried following steps to reproduce it.
1.Create a xamarin form application.
2.Add a class(Mypage.cs) and Did some code in it.
3.Set BackgroundColor = Color.Yellow in Mypage.cs.
4.Call Mypage.cs in App.cs
5. .ios set as starttup project.
6.Run the application.
I observed that Bakgroundcolor of page is still white but Backgroundcolor property works fine in Android.
