RESOLVED FEATURE

Description Sten 2014-09-15 13:50:23 UTC
Currently MessagingCenter.SendInternal is "internal", so sending a message requires the generic methods to be called, which is very inconvenient (awkward generic method calls through PCL reflection/reflection IoC service) when trying to write an extension that provides message commands, useful for defining messages for toolbar items and button events.

Alternative solution of some other nice way of sending UI messages from XAML would also do, but this is the simplest fix I can see.

Scenario: Allow for XAML definitions for messages to be send from UI handlers (CommandToMessageExtension, ClickToMessageExtension, TapToMessageExtension....)
