RESOLVED FIXED

Description Fredy Wenger 2014-09-15 10:57:35 UTC
I have a master-detail-page in my app (with a master-icon).
After first start of app:
On Android, the master-icon have to be clicked twice to load the master-form, while on iOS and WP the master-form loads after the first click (what is correct).
On android, swiping also loads the master-page by first attempt.

=> I seems, as there is a problem on Android with the master-icon.
By further try's, the master page is also loaded by first click on the icon (the problem exist only directly after the first load of the app).

I have checked this issue and unable to reproduce it.

I tried to reproduce with following steps.
1.Create a Xamarin.forms application.
2.Add a class(Homeview.cs) and Did some code in it.
using System;
using System.Collections.Generic;
using System.Linq;
using System.Text;
using System.Threading.Tasks;
using Xamarin.Forms;
namespace Bug223005
{

    public class HomeView : MasterDetailPage
    {
        public HomeView()
        {

            Label header = new Label
            {
                Text = "MENU",
                Font = Font.BoldSystemFontOfSize(20),
                HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.Center
            };

            Label header1 = new Label
            {
                Text = "MENU1",
                Font = Font.BoldSystemFontOfSize(20),
                HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.Center
            };

            // create an array of the Page names
            string[] myPageNames = { "Main", "Page 2", "Page 3" };

            // Create ListView for the Master page.
            ListView listView = new ListView
            {
                ItemsSource = myPageNames,
            };

            ListView listView1 = new ListView
            {
                ItemsSource = myPageNames,
            };

            this.Master = new ContentPage
            {

                BackgroundColor = Color.Red,
                Title = "Titllwewe",
                Icon = "Marcon.png",
                Content = new StackLayout
                {
                    Children =
                {
                    header,
                    listView
                }
                }
            };

            // Set up the Detail, i.e the Home or Main page.
            Label myHomeHeader = new Label
            {
                Text = "Home Page",
                HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.Center
            };

            string[] homePageItems = { "Alpha", "Beta", "Gamma" };
            ListView myHomeView = new ListView
            {
                ItemsSource = homePageItems,
            };

            this.Detail = new NavigationPage(new ContentPage
            {
                Content = new StackLayout
                {
                    Children =
                {
                    header1,
                    myHomeView
                },
                }
            });
        }
    }
}

4.Run the application.

I observed that in a single click to load the master page.

Let me know if I missed anything to reproduce it?

First, you don't have the same Version installed.
I have VS 2013 Update 2 -> you have Update 3
I have Xamarin 3.7.249 -> you have another Version
I have Android 4.18.1.3 -> you have another Version

But.. please first try your app on an REAL Device (not emulator).
If possible, Samsung Tab S900.

If you are not able to reproduce it, I can send you my app.
