RESOLVED FIXED

Description xamarin 2014-09-09 10:18:59 UTC
The custom menu does not show up with a long-press in the iPad simulator.
Comment 1 xamarin 2014-09-09 12:38:20 UTC
I got this to work by moving the Custom function to the cell class and adding an NSObject parameter, and making all references consistently spelled "custom:"

		[Export("custom:")]
		void Custom(NSObject sender)
		{
			Console.WriteLine ("custom");
		}

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce it.

I tried following steps to reproduce it.
1.Download sample project from
  https://github.com/xamarin/monotouch-samples/tree/master/SimpleCollectionView
2.Run the application.

I observed that custom menu doesn't show up with long-press and It must have their associated action implemented explicitly for long press-release.

Sample project comment before custom method.

System provided cut, copy and paste will be sent to PerformAction method above, but any custom menu items must have their assocatied actions implementated explicitly.

This sample's UIMenuController functionality was incomplete. I have updated it to work as expected. Apple introduced a difference in how the UIMenuController works in iOS 7 that changed the context of the UIMenuItem's selector call from the controller to the cell, which had not been addressed. This has been fixed.
