RESOLVED FIXED

Description Bert Moorthaemer 2014-09-03 16:39:08 UTC
After upgrading my iMac and Windows to the latest version of Xamarin (today September 3rd 2014), I am unable to synchronize the iOS SDK.

1. I can connect to my build host and check the SDK version.
2. It reports that my SDKs are out of sync and that a new version is available.
3. I click the systemtray icon, allow the Xamarin.VisualStudio.IOS.SdkUpdater to be run ... and ... that is it... Nothing! It just quits, no error message, no logging.

This is what I get as the last logging from the C:\Users\Bert\AppData\Local\Xamarin\Log\12.0 folder:

We have tried to reproduce this issue but unable to reproduce. We are able to synchronize the iOS SDK successfully.

Screencast: http://www.screencast.com/t/SabZqqJQg

Please let me know if I have to follow any other steps to reproduce this issue?

Environment info:
VS 2010
Xamarin 3.5.55.0 (2db5ccd228887372e207e112bc3b5f1b16b24293)

Build Host info:
X.iOS 7.4.0.108
Xcode 5.1.1
Mono 3.8.0.9

I have this exact same problem (I'm on the latest beta).

I have discovered that the directory that is being looked for (/Developer/MonoTouch/usr/share) does not exist.

/Developer/MonoTouch/share does exist, and deep down does contain MDocArchiveToMsxDocConverter.exe

However, it does not contain "apple-doc-wizard" anywhere, so even if I copy over the share directory, it still fails the same way Bert described.

I'm attaching a screenshot of my folder hierarchy.

Hi,

As we've introduced several improvements around VS/Mac connectivity and the iOS build system (starting with XVS 4.0), I'll mark the bug as resolved fixed.
Please feel free to reopen it if you can still reproduce the issue with current bits.

Thanks for all the information provided.
