RESOLVED FIXED

Description Prashant Cholachagudda 2014-09-03 07:24:20 UTC
The Xamarin.Forms.ViewExtensions.TranslateTo (v1.2.2.6243) does not to work on Android with Layouts/Views

Code to reproduce the issue:

	public class App
	{
		public static Page GetMainPage ()
		{
			var rootPageView = new AbsoluteLayout ();
			var rootPage = new ContentPage () {
				BackgroundColor = Color.Black,
				Content = rootPageView,
			};
			var newRoot = new NavigationPage (rootPage);

			var hello = new Label () {
				Text = "Hello",
				TextColor = Color.White,
			};
			rootPageView.Children.Add (hello, new Point (10, 10));
			hello.TranslateTo (110, 250, 3000, Easing.SinIn);
			return newRoot;
		}
	}

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce this issue with given sample code in bug description.
And observed that the Xamarin.Forms.ViewExtensions.TranslateTo() method not working fine in Android App, Its working fine on iOS.

Test Project

I made a test project for this during Evolve. Adding it for convenience.

Note that the TranslateX and TranslateY properties are updated after TranslateTo on Android, but the view does not move. Explicitly setting the TranslateX and TranslateY properties does move the view (non-animated of course)

I am unfortunately blocked by this as well (need it badly for menu animations). Any ETA for a fix? Thanks.
