RESOLVED FIXED

Description Alan McGovern 2011-08-08 07:07:13 UTC
Class 'Baz' implements the interface IFoo:

public interface IFoo {
    void Bar ();
}

public class Baz : IFoo
{
    public void Bar ();
}

IFoo foo = new Baz ();
foo.Bar ();

If i right click on the 'Bar' in foo.Bar () and choose to rename it, MD will only rename the method in the interface declaration and in the place where i called foo.Bar (). The class 'Baz' will be left with a method called 'Bar' and so will no longer implement the interface IFoo.

MD should look for classes which implement IFoo and ensure that methods there are renamed appropriately.

Nice case - never thought about it.

But I think we need have some renaming options to get all possible cases.

Sometimes I want to look & rename for a single overload, sometimes I want to do this "family" wide operation.

We need a solution/user interface for it - but that isn't in the scope for the bug here.
