Description jamey.mcelveen@acstechnologies.com 2014-08-27 09:19:37 UTC

Example

If I add a button to the navigation toolbar when a page is created in iPad Landscape orientation and assigned to the Detail of a MasterDetailPage it will not show up. If you start in Portrait and rotate to landscape the button is there. This only happens if you actually construct the page in landscape mode.

I have attached a project that reproduces the issue.

There are three screen-shots in the attachment as well.

Screen 1:
This is the starting point, if you click menu and load
other screens everything is ok in portrait.

Screen 2:
This is after rotating to landscape. If the screen was
created in portrait and then the device rotates to
landscape then everything is fine. (However I would
prefer that the menu button be hidden since it is
  useless in landscape)

Screen 3:
If you are in landscape and you load another screen
this is when the bug appears. At this point the
button vanishes. Also (IMO) I believe the menu button
  should not show up.

I have checked this issue and able to reproduce . To reproduce this I used the sample project and help provided in bug description.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open attached sample in XS.
2. Run the application on simulator, you will see screen this is Page 1
3. Click on menu and load other screen there are five button
4. Clicking on button you will see different screen and everything is fine in portrait.
5. Now rotate it in landscape still everything is fine.
6. Click again on menu and the button to load other screen this is when the bug appears.
7. Observe the bug in landscape.

I observed that in landscape mode when you click on button to switch the screen the menu button should not show up.
