Description Kevin.Murray 2014-08-26 10:41:36 UTC
On Windows Phone you can set your background to "light" or "dark" in Settings-->start + themes-->Background. When using a Master Detail Page, the Master page still has a black background in "light" mode -- but the text of controls is now black, to honor the theme. You can't read black on black, though...see attached photo (sorry about blurred logo).

That Master view has a ListView in it with TextCells.

I have checked this issue and I am able to reproduce this behavior.

Steps I followed:

1. Change the theme of windows Phone to light
2. Open Xamarin.Forms sample FormsGallery
3. Build and run on device or emulator
4. Navigate to masterdetailpage and click on masterdetailpage
5. Navigate to MasterDetailPage.

When I change the theme of device/emulator to "light" I observed that the
Master page has a black background in "light" theme and the text on the master page is also on black color.
