Another point; running apps from XCode in the simulator works fine;
everything works like it did before; it's only Xamarin after the
update which is affected...

The current XI 7.9.x releases *requires* Xcode 6 beta.

This is a known issue and was filled with Apple (radar #17395455) and beta 6 release notes has a (very incomplete) mention about it.

We plan on having a workaround for XI 8.0 (since it's unlikely that Apple will fix it properly in time).
