Description Jon Douglas [MSFT] 2014-08-18 15:26:07 UTC
It seems that the property "HeightProperty" on BoxView isn't working correctly.

Repo:

https://github.com/tkowalczyk/SimpleAnimationForms

Notice AnimationView / AnimationViewModel gets new values, but the .SetBinding doesn't seem to change the actual height of the BoxView. I had another person look over this and it looks good to us.

I have checked this issue and not able to reproduce this. I try to reproduce this with the "SimpleApplicationForms" sample provided link in bug description.

Here are my observation:
In the "SimpleApplicationForms" sample project the BoxView property is set HeightRequest=0, and that is working properly. I again changed it to HeightRequest=50, and its showing red color box, with giving height and width. I also observed that when I changed WidthRequest=50, but I does,t seem to change the width of BoxView.

I observed that the "HeightRequest" property is working properly and "WidthRequest" property is not working properly.

Please let me know if I am missing anything. Here is the screencast for the same.

I believe this issue had more to deal with the actual binding of the BoxView rather than a hard coded Height/Width. There is a timer that increases the BoxView's dimensions each second in which the binding doesn't seem to work appropriately.

The height property is intentionally read only
