On iOS 7.1 (probably on other version also) Editor.IsEnabled = false does not disable editing. On the WP and droid it works well.
A test page is attached to this report.

This is still happening on 1.4.1.X and 1.4.2.X, as shown here:
A UITextField has an Enabled property and a UserInteractionEnabled, and AFAIK only setting the latter will disable editing. Perhaps that is not set in the internal renderer?
I have confirmed that this will be resolved in 1.4.3 (next release).
