While trying to deploy iOS solution to Build Host on Mac, Visual Studio reports a deployment error. The error is:

The "CreateBuildManifest" task failed unexpectedly.
System.ArgumentException: name
at Mtb.Server.Extensions.MiscExtensions.AsEnumValue[T](String name, T defaultValue, Boolean throwIfInvalid)
   at Xamarin.MonoTouch.Build.Tasks.CreateBuildManifest.set_MtouchArch(String value)
The "MtouchArch=$(MtouchArch)" parameter for the "CreateBuildManifest" task is invalid.
The "CreateBuildManifest" task could not be initialized with its input parameters.
Done executing task "CreateBuildManifest" -- FAILED.
Done building target "_GenerateBundleContentDir" in project "FuelCog.iOS.csproj" -- FAILED.
Done building project "FuelCog.iOS.csproj" -- FAILED.
Build FAILED.

When I clean and rebuild the solution it succeeds and only fails when trying to debug on the simulator.

According to Valentin Palushkin (our Xamarin Support Engineer):

In your .csproj file, can you try removing the <MtouchArch>i386</MtouchArch> properties and see if that will allow it to build?

After doing the above and updating Xamarin Studio, I was able to run the application on the simulator although there are now black bars above and below the app in the simulator which isn't happening in Xamarin Studio.

Yup, removing it solved my problem as well. Checked log and it seemed like it switched from <MtouchArch>Default,ARMv7</MtouchArch> while I was trying to debug on a physical device.

The alpha release should fix this issue.
