Description daniel.luberda 2014-08-06 18:03:28 UTC
When an Entry has BindingMode set to OneWay, changing ViewModel property doesn't change Entry Text.

Tested on Android, XF 1.2.2

Here's working reproduction (just click the button):

namespace XamarinTest
{
	public class EntryBindingBug : ContentPage
	{
		class Test : INotifyPropertyChanged
		{
			public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged;

			decimal entryValue = decimal.Zero;
			public decimal EntryValue
			{
				get
				{
					return entryValue;
				}
				set
				{
					entryValue = value;
					OnPropertyChanged("EntryValue");
				}
			}

			void OnPropertyChanged(string caller) {
				var handler = PropertyChanged;
				if (handler != null)
				{
					handler(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(caller));
				}
			}
		}

		public EntryBindingBug()
		{
			Title = "EntryBindingBug";

			BindingContext = new Test();

			var entry = new Entry() {
				Placeholder = "Entry"
			};
			entry.SetBinding(Entry.TextProperty, "EntryValue", BindingMode.OneWay);

			var button = new Button() {
				Text = "Click me"
			};

			button.Clicked += (sender, e) =>
			{
				var context = BindingContext as Test;
				context.EntryValue = context.EntryValue + 1;
			};

			var root = new StackLayout() {
				VerticalOptions = LayoutOptions.FillAndExpand,
				HorizontalOptions = LayoutOptions.FillAndExpand,
				Children = {
					entry,
					button
				}
			};

			Content = root;

		}
	}
}

This is specific to Entry, it's actually clearing the binding when its content updates.

Fixed for next update.
